This is our handmade version of a thermal fuse suitable for the Ghd Gold S7N261 / Ghd Gold Wide S7N421 and the new style Ghd Original S4C242.

Please note unlike the Pepi fuse on the gold model, these will need to be soldered to the element contacts using high temperature solder (228c) Provided with purchase.
Although not completely necessary we recommend finishing the soldered connections with high temperature silicone, see pictures for details.

We do have original pepi fuses in our other listings should you wish to replace with the original but be aware even Ghd have replaced this design in their latest model. (Original S4C242)

You are far more likely to get your straighteners working perfectly using this fuse along with your original element, please be aware that changing the element for a new or used replacement is likely to drastically effect the temperature as it seems the straighteners are programmed to the original elements fitted, and even replacing with genuine Ghd replacement elements is likely to effect the performance, let alone using new aftermarket ones which have suddenly become available.

Compared to the pepi fuse these are far more reliable and will fit in the original rubber housing inside the backing plate unlike new after market ones being sold online.

These are also considerably cheaper than the original or copied pepi fuses and in our opinion a far better alternative.
